Expats welcomed the Kingdom’s decision to extend the validity of Iqamas and Visas for those who are stranded due to a travel ban.
Jawazat (The Saudi Arabian General Directorate of Passports) has started automatically extending the validity of Iqama (Residency Permit) and exit and re-entry visa without charging fee or any other money Expatriate, This Extend will be absolutely free of cost and valid until January 31, 2022.
Now Expatriates can get citizenship in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Press Agency reported that the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman said the beneficiaries will be those Expatriates from countries whose are still facing travel ban from entering Saudi Arabia due to outbreak of CoronaVirus are being offered the benefit.
The Saudi Arabian King’s directive also include extending the visit visa validity issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for visitors those who are Currently outside the Kingdom and those who are from countries still facing travel ban as a result of the outbreak of coronavirus. The period of extension will be until January 31, 2022.
But remember The extension will not be applicable to those expatriates who are fully vaccinated within the Kingdom before their departure on exit and reentry visa.
The Kingdom's Minister of Finance issued the necessary orders in this regard. This extension falls within the government’s continuing efforts to deal with the repercussions of COVID-19 pandemic. It also falls within precautionary measures and preventive protocols that ensure the safety of citizens and expatriates.
The Jawazat said Expatriates no need Physically visit Jawazat office Iqama and Visa Extension will be automatically in the National Information Center.
